 Hi All!
We've had great fun with the Clarke-Moore kiddos.  Next week they'll be coming on Friday at 11:00, as the airgrounds Arena is tied up on Thursday.  We'll decorate the horses with ribbons, bows, crepe paper and other stuff.
Last Friday Dana worked on her horse body parts.  Charlie was her leader/friend and they circled the arena searching for the cards with the 16 body parts.  They then clothes pinned or taped  them onto Daisy.  Daisy was the personification of patience, sweet girl, and didn't object to the cards clipped to her fetlock, around her eye, and one taped to her hip.  It was a hoot.  Dana did great!!
Mark and I met with EKU folks from Parks and REC, Animal Studies, the OT Department and the VA Affairs Program to talk about common interests and future pathways- some exciting possibilities.  We'll let you know more as things progress.
On Saturday we had the Bobcat lined up again to flatten the arena site at BGAD and, of course, it rained, AGAIN.  (Repeat after me, "I really do love rain".) Several brave souls came to help; Cheryl J, George and Lincoln, Jim, and of course Peg.   Peg  did without rain gear and finally decided, when she could ring the water our of her shirt, that she'd had enough.  We all stayed until around 2:00 anyway and when we arrived up at the Mothership the sun was out, sigh.
Mark is going to get the Bobcat this Tuesday and work on the riding area then.  George will be working on the AFTEC/BGAD Map and Future Plans, Sue is working on the Story Boards about what AFTEC is, what EAATs are, and who is involved- she's such a great person!!  Mark and I will be meeting with the folks at CKRH at the Horse Park Thursday morning to discuss our future and how CKRH operates, should be enlightening.
See you at the Hoe Down, if not before!!
     More later,
     Happy Trails!
