Hi All!
Word from the Fairgrounds Board is that our riding dates for April are the 8th and 9th, 22nd and 23rd, and the 29th.
We have a good schedule of riders this weekend. Call David and let him know if you want to be involved!
We're hoping to get the arena at the base ready for action but the rain has postponed the preparation of the site. Still hoping. We had nearly 2" of rain up here at the Mother Ship and the creek is roaring. We did get Cabbage, Broccoli and Cauliflower planted this weekend so it's perfect for the baby plants, but it's a sea of mud again.
Linda Grimes, DVM will be here this evening to "change" Cinco from a stallion to a gelding. Daisy will be unhappy. She's been flirting with Cinco in the next pasture for the past several days, whinneying and squealing. Harlot!
I put out some pots of flowers at the Con-xs (is that the correct term?). Still trying to transform the industrial look of the place to a bit "softer" and more rural look. I've got some ideas for trellises and clematis. Anyone else got any ideas??
See you all soon, I hope.
Happy Trails!
