What a great year!  AFTEC provided 57 individuals with 629 hours of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies!  This is an amazing total for our little program.  In addition Cheryl's EKU REC 210 class spent 7 classes at the stables honing their horsemanship skills, analyzing horse confirmation and gaits and teaching mock lessons.  Two other classes from EKU also visited to learn about Therapeutic Horsemanship.
We are so blessed to be a part of the Richmond community and to be associated with EKU and we are even more greatly blessed to have found Bob Heyer who has allowed us to pursue our mission at Jacks Creek Riding Stables!
Melody Srsic, our Instructor in Training has completed her preparations for her certification as a Registered Path Instructor and is ready to take her certification workshop.  We are proud of her teaching skills and thank her profusely for her contributions to AFTEC during these past two years.
We are already getting ready for next year's programming.  During this winter we will be continuing our education, bringing another horse or two into the remuda and beginning phase 2 at JCRS.  Many hands and hearts will be needed so keep us on your volunteer calendar!
On Saturday, December 8, we will be holding our Volunteer Appreciation Activity.  For more information visit our Calendar Page.
Thanks to everyone!!!  Happy Holidays and as always...
    Happy Trails!!!
