Just a shorty today. We've been having so much fun! I woke up at 4:40 yesterday morning and 5:00 today thinking "thoughts". Wondering about the riding plans for the day, the horses and riders...
We decided two weeks ago that Drew needed a different rig for riding. So Peggy and Mark fabricated a piece of equipment out of a PVC pipe, cunningly cut out and padded, which fits over the horn of a western saddle and rests on the pommel and is tied down securely.. He can grasp this and hold himself erect. We've mounted him on this rig on Troy (our wooden horse) twice. Each time he managed 45 min and even stood up in the stirrups several times. They requested another ride this afternoon at 3:30 and we're going to mount him on Woody for an actual ride with this rig. Wish us luck!!
He's such an inspiration.
