Meet Our Horses

We currently have 9 horses and two ponies.
Rocky is the elder statesman born into Mark's arms on April 29, 1988. he youngster of the herd is Cinco born on May 5, 2010.  Our horses are chosen for their disposition and gaits and trained extensively for desensitization and control.

Our horses are trained using the natural horsemanship methods
taught by Clinton Anderson, Ray Hunt, Pat Parelli, Buck Brannaman and others.

Arroyo - Born in 2005, Roy is gelded, 1/2 Spanish Mustang, 1/2 Rocky Mountain.

Roy loves to play work and have his picture taken.

Coins Real Motion - Born in 1994, Jack is a gelded
Tennessee Walking Horse.

Jack is a former show horse.  He was mistreated in his previous life and suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  Through patience and many hours of kind treatment, Jack only reacts when startled by hands or other implements moving around his face.
He's a big sweetie!

Luci - Born in 2008, Luci is a Kentucky Mountain Pleasure Horse.

Luci is a full sister to Cinco and half sister to Zephyr.  She's a therapy horse-in-training and has only been ridden a handful of times.  Luci has a wonderful disposition and is willing and curious.

Zephyr - Born in 2005, Zeph is a Kentucky Mountain Pleasure Horse.

Zephyr is Woody's half sibling and he's her uncle.  We've worked with Zeph since she was one day old.  She's a five gaited horse and moves like a dream.

Picture

Dena and Debbie - Full sisters these Percheron mares are 13 and 14 years old.

Dena and Debbie are HUGE! at 18 hands 3" they are the largest animals around.  They are a little intimidating until you get to know them and find out how sweet they are.  Trained parade horses they are not phased by traffic, bands, fire trucks and sirens, cars or barking dogs.

Woody - Born in 2005, Woody is a gelded Kentucky Mountain Pleasure Horse, however he is a walk-trot-canter horse rather than a smooth gaited horse.

Woody is truly unflappable. He has a beautiful trot with lots of elevation. We are working with Woodrow to be part of our driving program.

Rocky - Rocky is a gelded Tennessee Walker/Black Squirrel cross.

At 23 Rocky is the curmudgeon of the herd. He's a smooth gaited horse you could drink tea while riding and look great.
